How to connect
Five minutes, no technical knowledge needed. The only thing you need is this address:
Connect with Claude
- 1 Open the connectors settings In Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app), go to Settings and open "Connectors".
- 2 Add a custom connector Click "Add custom connector".
- 3 Paste the Salesly address Paste the connection address and confirm with "Add". Claude registers the connection on its own: there is nothing else to configure.
- 4 Sign in with your Salesly account Click "Connect". A Salesly window opens: sign in with your usual email and password. Claude never sees your password.
- 5 Review and approve the permissions You'll see a screen listing what Claude will be able to do (read contacts, create events...). Approve it and you're done: you can talk to your CRM in any conversation. If it doesn't respond, enable the connector in the chat's tools menu.
Custom connectors are available on Claude's paid plans (Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise). On Team and Enterprise, an admin adds them first. Plan availability can change: check Anthropic's site for current details.
Connect with ChatGPT
- 1 Turn on developer mode In ChatGPT, go to Settings, open "Connectors", then "Advanced", and turn on "Developer mode". It is just a switch: there is nothing to program.
- 2 Add the connector In the connectors panel, click "Create" (or "Add custom connector") and paste the Salesly address.
- 3 Sign in with your Salesly account A Salesly window opens: sign in with your usual email and password. ChatGPT never sees your password.
- 4 Review and approve the permissions Approve what ChatGPT will be able to do and start asking. You can disconnect at any time from the same panel.
Requires a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu) with developer mode available. On Business and Enterprise, an admin must allow it. Check OpenAI's site for current details.
Security and privacy
Connecting your CRM to an AI assistant only makes sense if you stay in control. Here is how we guarantee it.
Your password never leaves Salesly
Authorization uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, the same industry standard used by Google and Microsoft. The assistant receives a temporary, revocable permission; your password is never shared.
You decide the permissions
On the consent screen you approve exactly what the assistant can do: read contacts, create events... You can disconnect at any time and access is revoked instantly.
Each user sees only their own data
Role-based permissions are enforced on Salesly's servers. A sales rep connected via AI sees exactly what they see in the app: their own contacts, deals and calendar. A manager sees their team. An admin sees the whole account. The assistant cannot access anything you couldn't already see.
Sensitive data stays out
Sensitive fields, such as bank details or private internal notes, are never exposed to the assistant. Compensation and commission data is excluded.

What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude securely connect to other apps. Salesly has it built in: that is why you only need to paste one address, with no API keys or technical setup.
Is it safe? Can the AI see all our data?
No. The assistant signs in as you and inherits your Salesly permissions: a sales rep sees their own contacts and deals, a manager sees their team, and an admin sees the whole account. Sensitive fields (bank details, private notes, commissions) are never exposed.
Do I need a paid Claude or ChatGPT plan?
Claude offers custom connectors on its paid plans (Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise), and ChatGPT requires Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu with developer mode enabled. Conditions can change: check Anthropic's and OpenAI's sites. On the Salesly side, your usual login is all you need.
Can the AI modify my data without asking?
The assistant shows you what it is about to do before doing it (create a contact, log a call...) and always acts under your own permissions, so it cannot touch anything you could not edit yourself. It also only has the permissions you approved on the consent screen, and you can withdraw them at any time.
How do I disconnect?
In the connector settings of Claude or ChatGPT, remove or disconnect Salesly. The permission you approved is revoked and the assistant loses access immediately.
Do I need to install anything or request an API key?
No. There is nothing to install and no keys to generate. All you need is the address https://api.salesly.app/api/v1/mcp, your Salesly email and your password.
